No not the Motely Crue song - although that IS a classic hairband ballad.

We finally found a place, AND had it inspected, AND worked out some final details. With a settlement date on 8/16, it appears that the only thing left to do is sell the current residence. This weekend's open house should help the cause - hopefully.

The new place isn't exactly new. Its an 85 year old brick colonial in a very quiet neighborhood. It needs some updating, but no repairs (unlike our current place when we moved in). The good thing is that its huge - 4000+sq feet. Not that I NEED that much space, or was even looking for that much space, but having it can't hurt. We really lucked out. The woman was elderly, and had already moved in with her one daughter in another part of the country. She just wanted to sell the house and collect the cash. So we did what any self-respecting republican would do. We offered her 55K under the asking price. Done deal!

At least now I can have some people over for a true poker tourney instead of a small game. Now to figure out the new budget.....
